Why Is My Messenger Notification Sound Not Working. To fix it you need to enable the required notifications. Ive tried all possible system settings no results.
Others are having the problem because the custom notification tone doesnt work on their phones. I am still getting sound alerts for texting it is only messenger that is not working. Not sure what else may be broken.
I got it to make notification sound when getting a text in do not disturb and selecting allow messages from everyone.
Thanks Meg however my mute is not enabled and my do not distrub is not enabled. Disable Do Not Disturb. Solution 1 Clear cache and data from the app. Some lost the notification tones after a WhatsApp or software update.
