From Face ID working with a facial covering to Do Not Disturb and longer battery life all are instantly achievable on your iPhone. I tried turning my phone off overnight turning my phone off and on hard resetting and even factory resetting. Apple hasnt given any responses for the reasons that may bring up this problem or constructive suggestions to fix it.
