Ive joined the local network but each console doesnt see any. You do NOT need it for local play Split-Screen however but if it hits you with an NSO error for local play. You create and purchase the Family Share account then give the credentials to 8 people in your familyfriend. It depends on what version of Minecraft you have so my answer will be based on the bedrock version thats simply titled Minecraft.
